Irene Bruce Papers
Bruce was a poet who published more that 50 poems and three books, A Legend of Pyramid Lake, Crag and Sand, and Night Cry. A resident of Carson City, she was poetry editor for Nevada magazine and founder of the Reno Poetry Workshop. She was a member of the National League of American Pen Women, the Washoe Pen Women, and the Baha’I World Faith. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 19, 1903 and died in Carson City, Nevada on June 29, 1987. She was a Nevada resident for 50 years.
This collection contains 7 typescript poems by Bruce along with a printed pamphlet of poetry and letter from Bruce to "J" [Joanne de Longchamps]
