Size: 295,000 square-foot five-story building.

Funding: Over $22,000,000 was raised in private donations, led by a combined $10 million gift from Chuck and Ann Mathewson and International Game Technology. Bonds supported by student Capital Improvement Project fees provide $30,800,000. The balance is from the State of Nevada.

Local jobs generated: Approximately 400

Groundbreaking: September 9, 2005. A large excavator made the ceremonial first dig while invited guests watched with binoculars from Legacy Hall.

Construction launch: March 20, 2006

Completion: Late spring 2008
